Synopsis
A short documentary retracing the extraordinary life of Georges Shiras.
1889 – Like every summer, George Shiras III joins Jake, a trapper, to spend his vacation hunting and fishing near a remote lake in a Michigan forest. But that year, an idea came to him: to swap his rifle for a camera and try to capture the image of a deer on glass plate. Thus began a difficult and ingenious quest, and his transition from hunter to pioneer of wildlife photography.
